Peach & Vanilla Scones

1/3 c butter, cold and sliced small

1 c regular flour

1 c whole wheat flour

1 T baking powder

1/4 t salt

2 T sugar 2 t vanilla

1/2 c vanilla yogurt (I used non-fat)

2 T milk

1 fresh peach, diced

Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl. Cut in butter until crumbly and pea-sized. Add the wet ingredients and mix well with a wooden spoon until dough forms. Knead dough until even ( few times). Press into flat circle, about 1/2 in. thick. Place circle on baking sheet, and cut into 8 pieces, like a pizza. Bake at 425 for about 12-15 minutes, until lightly golden. Cool a bit and eat! They are quite lovely =)

NOTE: these do not keep well are not nearly as lovely the next day.
