Jana's Banana-Walnut Shake

Until Jana became my food oracle (hehe!) I’d never made any drinks in my blender that did not require salt and lime.  I hope she doesn’t mind me sharing one of her recipes I just love.

  • 1 cup skim milk
  • 1 oz. protein powder (optional - I have also added a serving of silken tofu)
  • 1 banana
  • 1 small handful of walnuts

Blend until well-mixed.  I like to add frozen strawberries or peaches to mix it up. Yum!

Making this a high-protein naturally sweet breakfast a habit has really made a difference in balancing and stabilizing my blood sugar and seems to keep my thyroid balanced, too.
