Jerk Pork Chops


Serves 6

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Whole green onions, chopped
  • 1T Canola oil
  • 1T Hot pepper sauce
  • 2t Allspice
  • 1t Cinnamon
  • ½ t Nutmeg
  • ½ t Salt
  • 2 cloves Minced garlic
  • 6 Boneless pork chops, cut ¼” thick

ASSEMBLY
Place onions, oil, spices and garlic in a blender or food processor.  Process until it forms a spreadable paste.  Spread paste on both sides of chops and place them in a freezer bag.  Lable, Seal and freeze.

COOKING
To serve, remove thawed chops from bag and grill, or broil 4-5 inches from heat for 10-12 munites.  Turn the chops occassionally.  They should not be pink in the center but try not to overcook.

This is one of my husband’s favorite recipes from the freezer.  We had this last night in fact and he raved about it like he does every time.  Serve it with veggies, a salad, bread….whatever suites your meal plan.
