Roasted Chickpeas

I hope that Blest will forgive me as I am about to post an other recipe(ish), putting me over the allotted two. But I just tried it for the very first time and it is so great, I had to share.

Roasted Chickpeas, which are much like corn-nuts without the danger of cracking a tooth, are so easy and tasty!

1 can chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained and patted dry

olive oil cooking spray

spices of your choosing (I used sea salt, pepper, and chili powder. Next time I will try curry or cayenne)

Heat oven to 425. Spray the chickpeas lightly, throw your spices on in whatever quanities suit you. Spray a cookie sheet just a bit and dump the seasoned chickpeas on it.

Cook for about 40 minutes, checking a few times to turn and make sure they aren’t burning. Let cool and pop those babies in your mouth like popcorn.

Even my picky-Nick liked them.
