I’ve read in the past about how frozen grapes are supposed to make a good snack. I’ve never tried them, but suspect that they probably would. Instead I have tried frozen strawberries, and they are delicious. Last weekend we were about to go away for a few days and there were just a few strawberries left in the fridge. Rather than leave them there to die I thought I’d shove them in the freezer, thinking I could smash them and turn them into sorbet or something like that. I’d forgotten about them until this weekend when I discovered them and thought I’d try one just as it was (I’d merely given them a quick wash before I put them in).
It was soooo good. Like eating something a little bit like an icelolly, but nicer, not exactly sorbet because the fruit was whole and not crushed. But so totally worth having again!
We have a really big freezer which we used to fill up quite a bit with bread, but since we don’t eat much bread now it seems quite empty. I have plans to fill it with exciting fruits and vegetables, so that once the season has passed we can still enjoy them.
In summary, you have to give frozen strawberries a try. They are yummy
